I have a few words for you guys: TS 3.0 is teh suck of dewm!

TS 2.1, however, still rules.

Reason:
TS 3.0 is too balanced. Playing TS is not a matter of skill anymore, it's a matter of luck. One of my friends, Tonka (dunno if you've ever played with him but in TS 2.1 he usually scores a nice 70 - 10), is no better than the average noob in TS 3.0. And the kungfu. Why the hell did they fiddle with that. Kungfu, like many other weapons, also now requires luck instead of skill. :?

...it's too balanced? And just what the fuck does that mean? :|

-> Being able to blow the heads off people with G2 Contenders at close range requires skill, goddamn it :\

-> Pointing and one-hit killing a guy with an RB in 2.1 required NO skill. Goddamn it. :/

Kung Fu has always required luck. It's because so many people insist on jump-kicking instead of straight up punching people, believe me punching is VERY effective. :D

Believe me, it takes a lot of skill to be able to keep your crosshair in the general direction of the enemy when you're stunting all over the place to avoid being shot. Any TS stuntman-style player knows that...fraggers can go back to 2.1 and their sh!tty Raging Bulls.

>_>;

And the biggest reason why 3.0 pwns 2.1? People are playing other maps than Lobby. I hate that map with a vengeance  T'was one of the reasons why I stopped playing 2.1; there was no variety at all.

I've noticed when I was playing 1vs1 with on of my friends, they would always kill me in 1 hit from the G2 Contender. It doesn't matter what distance, he would always get me, which started to piss me off.

Two things about TS3.0

Exactly my point. A noob who never tried the game before could just spam a lot of punches to a pro who know all the moves, and still win.

Okay so I couldn't resist downloading it after all, and I must say that this new version is a massive failure, simply because superjump is still powerup-only.

Fail. Fail, fail, fail.

Durr...that's because the pro doesn't know how to block! (lol, press reload key!)

They also broke the "globalslow" command (which allowed permanent slowmotion). The TS development team is stacking failure on top of failure, apparently.

Sucks that they screwed up HLTV support for the game, as well as Globalslow and the superjump cvar...

But who ever uses them online? Not many...I will admit it's too bad the mod lost those...:(

I was able to get superjump after 10 kills (Without dying, of course.)?

I've said this like three times in this topic now, but I'll just do it again:

In The Specialists v2.0, you'd just start a server, and everybody could superjump, anytime. That was fun. That was mega fun.

Since v2.1 (meaning also v3.0, yes) it's powerup-only and 9 kills and up (The Specialist/Unstoppable) only. That is stupid. That is mega stupid.

My information.
Hmm....

TS-3.0 sucks major balls... but for those who really need want it, go right ahead & download it... but I am telling you, one or two new things for two years of updating? TS-Devs are major let downs.

The Specialists v3.0
Now with extra failure!

We even removed a gun!

P.S.: Version 3.1, which will come out in two years, will feature a new map called ts_failure, new readme.txt files, and most importantly, removal of another classic TS weapon.

No it's doesn't "truly win" and it isn't "absolutely awesome." MSC and Svencoop are both way better. I'll tell you this. If you could play half-life singleplayer with TS, then the mod would rock.

Well, you can, Dridje.

Monster Mod

It's a metamod plugin that allows you to spawn any HL monster (hgrunt, even Gargs!) in any HL mod that supports metamod. As I've heard, 3.0 only supports Metamod P.

I've seen screenshots of people playing in 2.1/2.0 with it. There's only one problem though; the monsters are immune to slow-motion (they move at normal speed no matter what)

I haven't tried it myself, I really should try it xD

Alright, thanks for the info Jax. Some day, I'll get TS2.1, a rp city map, and that plugin and kill a zombie horde :D
