I call the question mark in the desert for demontemple when I finish it! It seems a fitting place to put an evil temple, and 20ish is the monster level im planning on :). Also, i'm quite good at manipulating entities, so i could do ocean crossing when it needs to be done.

i would think he wants the one thats right above thunder plains, but if he wants to connect to wicardoven ,which wouldnt be a bad idea, i can include a nice spot to transition.

an evil temple would go good with wicardoven, wouldn't it?

plus, then it could attatch directly - instead of through votemap and a concept map..

The one linked to aluhandra desert is the one im talking about, it needs to be in a "forgotten/lost" area, but not blocked in by skeletons, as theres living things inside it. It wouldn't make sense to have a temple with a living cult to have the only entrance be through an undead infested area. A desert seems like a more logical place to hide an evil temple :p

As opposed to beneath the ruins of a castle. ;) Either way. Could connect it to them both though. I don't see any volunteers for Alondra Desert yet (prob a hard one to make).

Aluhandra Desert - Tiered into nasty, and very nasty, probably with a few insanely nasty areas in caves and such.

Thinking some rolling desert, valleys, ruins, and caves to break it up (cuz rolling desert + HL1 engine = FTL). Thinking some really giant beasts. New, gigantic scorpian, wild fire lizards, and some other desert oriented things. Cult of Snake worshippers, maybe some variant of the Borsh Orcs. No specific plans beyond that, really.

how do sandstone/limestone cliffs sound?

and you could always have the "dunes" be very steep, and playerclip the top "cieling" so it wont render past...thats how bloodrose keeps low poly ;)

Sampling some of Crow's newer stuff, he has some lovely desert sandstone textures.

What would be cool is if there was a "dark map" with all of the nightmare_ levels. of course, there would only be thornlands right now, everything else would be clouded over.
