Also, I'd like to add with the new boss system, it does not require everyone playing on the map and dying to the boss for the boss to get his health bonus for everyone dying. It somehow seems to go by guild...

Boss shouldn't be getting any health bonus for everyone dieing, just passive regen and dmg reduct vs. individuals.

edit: ...damnit, I thought I took that out. ><

If yer host and feeling experimental, ye can try: this SC.DLL

- May allow Artifact Chests to pick a random item for players who have everything, rather than the same item repeatedly
- May fix boss dmg resist systems
- Removes boss bonus regen on all players dead
- May fix crashiness on Heras

PS. Fastest way to test boss resist system: Go to Thornlands and let Timidus kill you. You'll likely have to take off your armor and clear away any other spitting or baby spiders, if yer of any significant level.

Uhm, Noticed an interesting bug while i was playing on your Server Thothie.

Ran around for about half an hour, was using my hxbow and i had killed a few things, went to put it in my bag and said i didn't have room, tried to drop it so i could pull out something else and it said "you can not drop this item" disconnected, reconnected and put the hxbow into my bag no problem. Dono, simple reconnect fixed it but still.

If that happens, you just hit 1 until you reach hxbow and reequip it.

Could others please verify the killing the boss on foupost results in NOT getting the bosses head? I've been on two runs a few hours apart and both times no head appeared.

Also I'm sure every one is aware the the new boss system is different and others (including myself) have posted their thoughts about it. However, after having died ONCE to Atholo, due to spawning inside of one of his minions, I got the message that I can't hurt him anymore. This is of course is after being told that now I can only do 80% damage to him.

Yeah i get that second death no damage thing quite regularly, and its annoying to know i only get 2 chances....versus most bosses thats not worrisome but some like the holed area of Bloodrose where u can die from holes i still recieve the message of less damage half the time when i just fall in hole...I understand That this supposedly is supposed to make us think harder....yet i cant think that fast....

WTF, I'd love someone to show me that trick... how does one hit and run that jack rabbit on crack?!?! I mean you get return crystals turned into relocation crystal on that map for a reason right? The reason being you ARE going to be knocked into that pit more than once. Oh I see potion of Stab and greater protection, immunity to cold HC and hotd and I guess you may be able to go toe to toe vs that guy... But unless I'm able to hold more than 60 things without fear of needing a roll back, it won't be easy to hold all 3 of those potions...

I've noticed that occasionally, my spells hit "Npc" rather than the monster I'm trying to fight. Same with melee.

The boss doesn't get the kill if you fall down a hole.

Usually the result of hitting a monster who just spawned, but hasn't got his AI loaded yet.

Seems the anti-lag optimizations to the Lightning Djinn are preventing him from spawning on DS servers - at least on Cleicert. I've edited Cleicert on my server, and removed the beams to see if he's somehow trying to "steal" them and this is messing things up. Please gather a crew and help Dridje get a lrod legitly to test.

Bah, when "killing" the Ice Lord/Queen, he/she just fell down and didn't shatter :? Because of that, the chair didn't break and the chest didn't spawn.

I know the boss supposedly doesnt get the kill but twice on bloodrose he knocked me into pit i died and it gave me the message that i lost damage bility thingie....hasnt done it lately so i mave have just died before actually touching floor of pit...oh well if it does it again ill mention it again.

Probably... Most of Atholo's damage is DOT, so it happens a lot.

couldn't find a topic for this yet, Old-Helena is... well.. it has the exact problems it has on origonal MSC. Not only are the npc's retarded, but the map crashes if anyone spams orion, volcano, lightning storm, or much of anything really. I've played the map maybe 11 times, out of those we lost due to crash 9 of those times. The other two was serrold deciding to run right into the fray. Without nice big AoE's to keep that crowd under control, they run right up to the npc and burn through their minimal hp before anyone can lag over to defend them.

This is a crazily frustrating, almost impossible map as is. Only way I can think of to complete it, is in a locked server with 4 people so you can use spells and guard properly, which is counterproductive to the community.

It maybe the map isn't patched right. The original map somehow got out with this bit where waves didn't remove themselves - it is thus, utterly uncompletable, as you wind up in the end with well over 50 active monsters. With the map patch, you wind up with around 12 per wave.

Check the date on your msc/maps/old_helena.bsp, and make sure it matches up with the date you installed the betapack, if not, the patches aren't applying proper and ye may need to either run the msc_map_updates.bat batch file manually, or look into getting it from someone whose maps do update proper.

Between the map patch, and the faster corpse removal, it should be fairly stable.

Grats to my fellow guildie for reaching 34 sword and able to throw the blood drinker....ok now to the questions.
1: The first charge He says does nothing......no double damage just animation.
2: When he throws it...it goes through walls etc like you stated, but what we wanted to know is it supposed to steal life and give it to him or just steal life? Reason for asking is it doesnt and we were both wondering if its supposed to...
I have read the description in patch and it doesnt say anything but we figured since he hits things and it gives health we were wondering why it didnt when he threw it...(i figure if it doesnt on purpose it is because someone thought it would be too powerful) so if its supposed to then this is a 2nd bug report

ms_cave chest seems to be showing 60k sets of demon claws...

I have no idea how there were 2 chest in ms_cave managed to spawn 65+K in DC's in the chests that spawn from killing the troll or what ever in the 2 chest rooms. People on the server were going nuts trying to loot them all. I was busy doing something with another character while they were looting. After seeing this I yelled for it to stop, but it was too late... I can't remember who was doing the looting, but I hope they do the honest thing and drop the extra sets of DC's.

I've heard of this glitch, as well. I hope DCs aren't destroyed over this... perhaps you could add a forced level-requirement to them (if there isn't already one)...?

I assume it's a 'storage' character for someone who was looting the chests.
