Hrmm... Ya folks are closing yer servers before updating them, yes?

Some folks have been reporting that the server isn't reverting to Edana after getting nailed with an invalid map, which it should do in JAN2010b, providing the MS.dll updated.

JAN2010b patched servers should have an ms.dll dated 01/23/2010 10:30am (adjust for GMT-8).

Still wouldn't quite explain the Aleyesu thing. The map is verified FN side, not server side, so it should be fine so long as the map matches up. :/

You'll find daggers do this on every map... I've managed to stop it (has to do with the way that the special attack increases attack speed), but I don't see how it could cause this issue. On the other hand, HumanSteak reports that using the Neck Hunter on Sfor causes crashes - and I can't duplicate that either.

The aleyesu bug happens in Raisonbran's server too.

And the bug steak talks about is wierd cause sometimes when we try to duplicate it, he can throw it 30 times and it not crash, and sometimes he could crash the server 3 times in a row.

Tis wierd bugs.

I also had the neck hunter bug today on my server. Use it 6 times and the server would crash with a no free edicts error I was on ara at the time.

Another bug I found is that orc archers can pin you to the ground or a wall if when they shoot you the arrow lands on the ground or on the wall right next to you. You are stuck in it for 10 seconds until it disappears. More annoying than anything else. I had this happen quite a few times on ara.

This is kind of old, but are Venevus and his clone, Young Keledros supposed to give 0 exp?

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I seem to be getting ent or edict errors in some servers when I am near the bears on Ara, (even when the server is empty except for me) making the map unbeatable.

Should be between 1k and 5k... I dun see anything in their scripts that would prevent it from passing either. :\

Weird, I've never gotten any experience from them, but I've only played post JUN2008.

(Actually, I guess it'd be more accurate to say that there is no GAINED X XP message in the hud after You have defeated/slain X when you defeat either of them, not even "you have gained 0 exp". Maybe they do give exp and don't show it.)

Aleyesu doesn't seem to be working on c7g either.

Is Blasto's version current?

Yeah, or your server and mine would balk at it.

Thought on Keledros and Venevus - I think they both use a sparse version of the AI... Maybe they just aren't reporting XP, as that the report maybe part of the core AI... (but you should at least be getting said XP) Will examine.

Meh... Boss flag was looking for the wrong map... Causing it to, on the plus side, drop said flag (no passive regen or dmg reduct), and on the minus side, drop the XP to 3k.

I can join and play on Aleyesu just fine on my client, but whenever my server travels there it says it does not match blasto's backs. I have replaced the map file in my server with the one from my client, which are exactly the same size down to the last bit before replacing. Still errors. I don't understand what could be causing it to mismatch.

Speaking of Runegahr, if you kill him before defeating every juggernaut, the ones that respawn will respawn kneeling like before the battle started, being unable to attack/be attacked, even when there are still fighting juggernauts present.

the rock on Islesofdread1 sometimes won't break, could you make it like the ones in bloodrose? Breakable after a lot of hits but will break normally when everything dies.

Weird thing is, I can't always reproduce the uber lag, even on my own servers... But I'll see what happens anyway.

My listen server also can't run aleyesu. I get the blasto message. Also, it seems like the wolves stopped spawning after the first bunch of alpha types in gertenheld_forest.

Prior to Nashalrath the map Isle had the best music in MSC. Now there is no music in Isle, however. Obviously, this is a glitch because that music was way too awesome to have been removed intentionally.

I was playing islesofdread1 and I summoned my winter wolf for training and it got stuck in me, so i resummoned it and it started orbiting around me. :? I resummoned it 3 times but whenever I walked back onto the dock on islesofdread1, it started orbiting around me again.
It's not really a big bug because whenever I don't walk on the dock it doesn't glitch up.

It's hard to avoid that when summoning him on a func_wall, especially one with all sorts of holes in it, like the peir there. Dun think I can fix that one.

BTW - I checked. Isle does not, nor has it ever had, music. Maybe you left your winamp on in the background? ;)

It did have some music before this recent update, i do remember it since it was one of those who gets easily into my mind.
