Crow’s Curse of the Bear Gods MSC (pre 1.1)

Features:

- 5 New Maps
- New highlands_msc
- New, completely redone Lostcastle MSC
- Smattering of new monsters
- A previously unseen treasure chest
- Lots of hidden areas
- Self Installer
- 20MB of new music! (Some of which is even combat music!) ;)

Mind you these either are, or were built from, Crow's earliest works, so expect some lag. (Particularly on Skycastle)

By the MSC 1.1 release, we should have a completely new Skycastle (built from scratch), and a new Orcplace (extended on), there may also be various other minor revisions.

These maps range from hard, to mega-insane-hard. (15-30+ Level)

SERVER OWNERS: These are gauntlet maps, meaning it is intended that you need to kill most or all the monsters in one map before proceeding to the next. So PLEASE only add LOWLANDS to your custommaps cvar. Eg.

custommaps "ww1 unrest pvp_archery pvp_arena unrest2_beta1 lowlands"

There are trans warnings for nubs at every transition.

REQUIRES BETA PACKAGE JULY 10th 2006 OR LATER

Hopefully I'll setup a more interesting ending for Skycastle and Orcplace in the final. (Orcplace paticularly anti-climatic just now - but funny.)

Great maps! Though on orcplace, it was kinda random just bringing in the former head of the black hand (Though a pit of higher level trolls is greater than a pit of Blacksmiths anyday). Speaking of the former head, does he drop anything other than coins and his scimitar? (Just wonderin')

Beta package info regularly appears in Yonder Thread.

I don't list *every* last thing I do, as frankly, I make at least 100 small changes with every release it seems. I keep a developer log for that, that I assemble by tracking down all the files I've updated once a week (in addition to regular comments in the scripts themselves). The developer log contains a lot of spoilers, so every now and again I assemble a more detailed public changelog.

Sometimes the patches are so minor I don't bother saying anything. If it's a major update, or any update that requires a client side update to work - I'll post it up.

Like Skycastle - the source for that one was lost, and I'd have to do it from scratch... I think it's *tollerable* though... Less laggy than Skycastle in anycase - but of course, also a lot less to it.

If someone wants to volunteer to redo it though, by all means ;)

- Crow himself is busy on bigger mapping projects and I'm WAAAaaay behind on mine.
