For the over-organized mapper... Custom AAA textures for MSC to help you see what's what...

aaa_textures.jpg

Several options, both size and aesthetics wise, in the package...
aaa_all.gif

Swore I'd make these a long time ago... I'm recompiling a lot of maps in hopes of having a new installer ready by next month's release, so I finally did this, thought someone else may find them of use.

Ye download

The extended ZHLT pack for trigger_hurt/once/multiple/push and the 1-2-3 origanizer AAA's are there as well.

Great idea Thothie. Now to make custom entity sprites so we dont just look at pink/purple and orange boxes.

Yeah - that box with the little yellow outline up there with the boar inside is an msmonster_boar. (Abliet you can barely see him, as he wasn't the focus of the shot). Very handy having models for each monster type, makes organizing them much easier. There’s little treasure boxes for msworlditem_treasurechest too, so you can see exactally how they oritent, and a few others.

Ya know what I just learned today? I don't think this is worth another thread, but I r have discovered: If you add the property "random" with a value of "1" to a multi_manager... Instead of running the events you chose in sequence, it picks one at random... DAMN that woulda saved a lot of script writing had I know that sooner. >_>

Awesome news, thanks Thothie...

Evil, I don't use 3.5 because. Its beta. Though that might have nothing to do with it and it works fine. I just like 3.4.

3.5 > 3.4... And it's not beta... It's final. There are no more HL1 Hammer's coming - that's it.

Where is the final download? All I found was a beta with some things not working.

Yeah, point is, there be no more versions coming, so that is the final.

Ya still have to put the pitch and roll in manual, tis the only new bug, and I find it more stable than 3.4, in addition to the model display, which I couldn't live without. I've no idea how you managed to hang those players from those chains on b_castle without it. ;)

Haha I used 3.5 for that. But continued mapping with 3.4.

Bah! I might as well switch. Its been long over due.

At my computer :)
dont matter if that works from there you can rotate it in any direction you want in the actual brush mapping part of it.

The pitch/yaw/roll settings are not for orienting brushes, but setting entity angles. For things like doors and push brushes, so they know which direction to move/push.

It is true you can orient monsters with the rotate function though, and it's a lot easier with the model display.
