Everything I feel is wrong....

Alright, so I picked up the game again and played for awhile. It was working just fine this morning, when I played again, it was really really buggy and I can't figure out why... Basically these are my problems:

-When I go into normal resolution mode (Not widescreen) it has a terrible problem of having my mouse cursor at two places at once. When I try to click my middle character, my right character and middle start going out of control. Same with the inventory, it spazzes out between two items on my cursor and the item on the right.

-When I changed to widescreen my maximum (1360x768) my text is WAY too big, like super abnormally big.... Its kind of rather annoying... (I don't know if the inventory/character glitch has a problem on this one)

-Lowered it to 1280x768 (Still in wide screen), runs all nice and smooth like but the same thing is happening like the first problem I have....

Please send help, it's really weird and kinda bothersome.

Edit: Some of the things I tried was restarting game, computer, steam, tried some bug fixes with low end computers (Not that it's low end). Have not reinstalled it and so forth.

Make a backup copy of the folder then delete and reinstall.

If it works, should copy paste the user.cfg or w/e the file is that contains all the settings you have right now for ms:c, like binds and the likes. That is if you are lazy enough to rebind everything back like me.

Additionally this could be an issue caused by a recent graphics card update on your system... Or perhaps you installed some software that is running in the background that is causing this issue since you said you had relatively two cursors.

Try running in window mode see if it changes anything.

1360 is a very awkward resolution, but if that's your native... Try going into the following MSC folder:

msc\gfx\vgui\fonts

Pick a set from there (maybe the 960 set, if you feel the text is too large), and either rename them, or make a copy of them and rename the results, so that they are prefixed with 1360_ instead of 960_.

If you just delete all the tga's in there, I think it'll default to the HL1 software font, which is a bit hit or miss.

Not sure about the rest... Assuming you have a fresh/updated Half-Life install and no splits, it maybe that Half-Life just doesn't like your graphics card in non-native resolutions. And yes, also try windowed mode.
