Well, ya get Fire Ball at level 8, which renders Fire Dart obsolete.

As for ice shield, I've no idea how you'd setup an interface to give you the choice to say, double duration for half protection, or what not. The offensive freeze ability sounds like another spell entirely though.

That's the whole point. You choose what to become of the spell as you gain power.

Either you choose to improve the spells current abilities, such as double duration (not reduced absorption), or remove absorption and add a defensive freeze proc.

A notification with a GUI interface showing the two choices with a list of features and a new name should suffice.

I'm fairly certain that choices like that would either require you to choose every map or add more things to save to a character, which usually leads to a need for char wipes.

Yeeeah... Leaving aside, for the moment, that I do not have a method for putting up GUI choice menus without an NPC to click use on, you'd be talking multiple attributes for multiple spells that each need to be tracked individually =++ character size. Character size >4k = deleted character.

It might be more feasible to give an option (which, atm, would have to be through an NPC) to "trade" advantages on spells, thus have a permanent setting until the menu was used again. As I thought you were originally at: increase radius, reduce damage, for fire ball, or vis a versa, increase ice shield duration for less absorption, or visa versa, etc. There'd have to be very limited options - I wouldn't be able to do a progression as you'd seem to like. I'd have to come up with a system to compress the quest data. (like "f1;s2;" for fireball type 1, shield type 2, etc.)

Well, there would be a way to do it, but I think it would make Thothie cry >_>

Take a scroll (in hand) to an NPC who would "upgrade" it. Pretty much, he'd give you a new item with the same name, description, everything, except upgraded in the attribute you want. Meaning, Thothie'd have to make HUNDREDS of new spells. Depending on how high you could upgrade each attribute on a spell, it would get higher, as well. Say, for instance, there were 3 attributes to upgrade: Impact damage, DOT, AOE as well as being able to upgrade each attribute 5 times each. Thothie would have to create (5^3) + 1 items for each spell.

Well... I don't know how hard this would be or potentiall laggy, But I'm pretty determined to keep my title wizard... (therefore all my weapon skills are SC-1....) And I think it would be great to see my Glow constantly increasing... SC18 currently cmon tha would be a fun glow! By the way does freezing sphere deal damage, or more ice levels just add duration? Someone want to describe that to me its the only spell I dont have yet... not for long...

Your entire computer pretty much will turn into a spotlight around level 21, and as for seeing it in counter-strike that would be great because those damn flash lights are just suicide if your opponets have headphones on...
