Yeah, would it be so hard to create an npc who works like a backpack if you speak to him?
Waiting for so long to collect all items :D

Yes, sadly, it is. NPC and player inventory are on entirely seperate systems, and the only place you can save data, is on the player. The exception is the existing buggard bank system, which is on an entirely different system than the packs, and therefor we cannot control what goes into it.

I think the bank should have an initial limit on the things you can store. then you would be forced to have to pay more money to have 1 more slot (5000 gold per slot?) that way we dont have people raping their banks with a billion health pots and 500 arrows and such

I suspect the ticket based bank will be "weapons and armor storage" - however, if I *do* manage to get it to store pots, it'll probably store them in sets of 10 (or so), and give you 1 ticket exchange for 10 (or so) of em. Which would be good, as it'd reduce your item count in the process (at least, until you redeemed your ticket.)

Sadly there'll be no way to store arrows, as I can't read bundle sizes. If there was some way for the player to re-arrange his arrows into bundles of specific sizes, maybe, but sfaik, there is not (which is v. annoying when yer trying to archer, and can't choose your arrow/bolt type.)

I dun think there's any need to make this ticket variation of the bank so expensive, as tickets will still be limited by pack inventory caps as well. Only thing this does, is let you get rid of weight for weapons and items you are not ready for, or do not use all the time, really.

A different topic reminded me of this: since the November 1st (!!!) patch, the electrified slime can't attack.

Also, add more slimes :p
Or at least the regular green one that was available as a model in MS v1.35, please.

Yeah, I got your report on that and fixed that bug... It brought up an issue that's going to be a problem in the future, namely that I can't pull a var from another script that exists in the current script... In otherwords, I can't have the lightning slime both check if you are immune to lightning when it fires, and be immune to lightning itself. At the moment I have a half-assed work around that has the bugger working again.

One of the slime ideas was to have scaled up green slime, that split into four little green slimes when you killed it. There's lots of other ideas that are self-evident with all those submodels.

Just thought you'd all like to know that the bank seems to be working.

There's an issue that you can only display 6 npc menu options at a time (well, five and a half on mine). Thus I've divided the depositable items into categories to help with that. There's still a chance, I suppose, you could have so many storable items in one category, that the one you want to store may scroll off your screen. Your only option is to drop items at that point.

Only other issue is asthetic: client model sometiems doesn't update when items are removed and placed in storage. Fixes on map change. Also it lags a bit when you click on the banker due to it searching your character for every item in the game.

For tickets, I made it so they have to be in your hands... Looking back on it - I may just say screw the category menu and set up storable items the same way. Just, it's working right now, and it's a very complicated script, so I dun wanna screw wid it. ;)

Hard code wasn't totally useless in this endevor - I had to make a half dozen tiny changes to the hard code to make this work... Only two of which were total h4x. ;)

It'd complicate things to add potion storage to the same script, as the payment method would have to be different - I think what I'll do, it set that up at the various healer shops under a seperate script instead.

I'm going to need some people to help me make sure this thing isn't sploitable in some way. Item duplication and repeated refunds both seem possibly sploity points, but thus far I've not figured a way on my own.

Luckily my screen text is behaving for that shot - dunno why it goes bonkers sometimes and not others. :|

Its just apersonal opinion but a storage for potions sounds a bit pointless. Save your work for polishing the weapon bank system instead

Also would it be too hard to change so that you can attack with two weapons at the same time, instead of one attack at the time?

two weapons at the same time would be cool... but if that's not possible at least let us be able to hold a charge attack on one weapon while we attack or charge the other....

Updates are 1st of every month, so the people who host this game don't go insane.

I've no plans for a Christmas surprise - can't compete with all those PS3's, Wii's, iBox's, and whatnot you kids will be getting anyways. ;)

as for me. i dont come from a rich family . so im getting Dark Messiah, and NWN 2... oh and a colapseable stock for my SKS "BLACK" :D

Lords of the Land can't hit you,
Summoned skellies are just wandering and won't obey. Most times they attack target only if attacked.

I'm guessing it's the same reason that you don't get exp from guards. They're supposed to be on your team, and such.

Fixed that Granite Mace problem. I think skeletons will only attack when attacked, unless sent to out to hunt by the attack command. They register as human on the faction list, so anything that'll attack you, will attack them too.

I'm guessing it's the same reason that you don't get exp from guards. They're supposed to be on your team, and such.

Little known fact: You actually lose XP for killing guards... Although not much, and I'm not sure if the loss XP function actually works, I just notice it's scripted that way. I think the bone blade will only drain enemies, guards don't qualify by default. I think if you kill enough of them though, that changes.

but then i can't rebuke my own undead...

Nope, ya can't. ;)

Think they are now immune to poison though, so you can Poison Cloud around them safely, unlike the rats.

Haha, I dreamt there was an update today :D

-monsters can see through walls and doors
-keledros' firewall does no damage and the lightning does way too much dmg
-the archers in keledrosruins are always falling down when they are wandering alone
-sometimes keledros doesn't awake, he just stays there and does nothing


and suggestion:

The elemental resistance makes some weapons totally useless against specific mobs.
It should be like this: A weapon doesn't only consist of fire or ice, there is steel and the elemental is just a side effect to make the attacks stronger.
So you should be able to hit anything with every weapon, the elemental damage is just not apparent against immune mobs.
That's in every RPG like this.
There are so many weapons we can't use in maps but the weight limit forbids us to hold all the weapons.
