It seems that the dropping summon undead scroll bug hasn't been fixed this patch. Have you looked into it Thothie?
Dunno, picked up and dropped every summon scroll there was. Tried it on listen server, LAN, non-LAN, FN, and serverisde - none crashed. Maybe you have an odd scroll created clicking too many times on a char during load?

I got the invisible bug again. Where my friend couldn't see me at all. This time in edana. He also can't see any npcs and some doors.
Kill in console. I know that sounds like an old joke - but it actually fixes it.

Is it normal that Phoenix armor gives only 45% absorb So it's not really any better than Fire lizard for about 8 times the weight! I think it should protect at least as much as golden armor does...
Phoenix armor currently has 45% vs. the Lizards 40%, but unlike the Lizard Armor it gives you health back when you take fire damage, in addition to the 100% fire protection, vs. the Lizard skin's 75%.

Do have some plans to alter Phoenix armor, but at the moment, priority was just get it to display right.

And the commonness of Cobra skin is rather annoying. :S
I won't say where it spawns of course, but the odds are 5% per player with 200+hp where it does spawn.

phoenix armor is good as it is now. fire absorption is a big plus, and giving the armor more defense would make it a bit unbalanced

Plan was to raise it to golden armor status, but make the fire absorption 60 seconds at at a time with 30 second delay via word command. Alternate was to do the same, sans command word, but have fire damage drain mana at maybe 2:1, and the protection fail if mana was drained.

If fire lizard skin is supposed to be 40%, I think you should double check ;) The best monster to test armors on are kodiaks that always do 50 dmg solid without armor. Tested it and it did 27,5 dmg for both armors.

Horrors do a straight 100 damage without armor (God damn!) and they're doing 60 with fire lizard on :\

Calruin was removed since it is extremely outdated, use Calruin2

center monsters is a custom model for the Onos in NS (fade looking)

The licker I found it in a custom map for sveencoop, problem is it was used in more than 1 custom map

would be easier waiting for the creator to come here. However I doubt he would care if we use his model :wink:

I just tried again this morning, and I can drop both of my summon undead scrolls properly now whereas both used to crash my listen server. I guess they fixed themselves even though they were broken fourteen hours ago. Thanks for looking into it for me.

Good job on releasing it. Though you have a float box (seems to be raised about 8 units off the ground. In the room to the right after you break through the black brick wall.

thothie probably just didnt get to make the scripts for the chests.you can just ripent that in though. great job on the map, it's a nice change of pace for msc. the only part i didnt like is the fire djinn+2 greater undead fire giants. getting tossed constantly is annoying.

It wouldn't be a ripent, it would be a new SC.dll =\

2 questions:

1: when will demontemple spawn something?
2: how's Crow skycastle2 doing?

why is edanasewers and calruin taken off from the approved list

Calruin, as Little-G said, is dated.

Edanasewers was taken out because there is no oversight committee. ;) (It's approved, it just somehow got left out of the fn readme.)

Also due to lack of oversight committee, JUL2007a was released with the JUN2007b map updates. This has been fixed, but if you downloaded the update before July 5th, then you either have to download the update again, or use the (much smaller) manual update here.

Calruin2's map file should read:
{
"wad" "\hldev\wads\xeno.wad;
\hldev\wads\halflife.wad;
\hldev\wads\liquids.wad;
\hldev\wads\thothie.wad;
\hldev\keledrosprelude2_btm.wad;
\hldev\wads\old_edana.wad;
\hldev\wads\old_mastersword.wad;
\hldev\wads\old_medieval.wad;
\hldev\wads\old_ms_generic.wad;
"
"mapversion" "220"
"author_contact" "spam (at) thothie.com"
"credits2" "mods by Thothie"
"credits" "Original Map by Kuroneko & Lanethan"
"message" "The Calrian Ruins"
"mapversion" "220"
"MaxRange" "4096"
"sounds" "1"
"note" "thothie - revision1 - ghoul wall flagged to trigger only"
"note" "thothie - revision2 - attempt to stop imortal horror (typo only removed spawn - cause imortal)"
"JUL2007a" "disabled BS chamber cloud and trampoline until monsters active"
"classname" "worldspawn"
"classname" "worldspawn"
}

Sfor's ent file should read:
{
"wad" "\program files\valve\steam\steamapps\[email protected]\half-life\msdev\kami-platinum.wad;
\program files\valve\steam\steamapps\[email protected]\half-life\msdev\mastersword.wad;
\program files\valve\steam\steamapps\[email protected]\half-life\msdev\medieval.wad;
\program files\valve\steam\steamapps\[email protected]\half-life\valve\halflife.wad;
"
"mapversion" "220"
"MaxRange" "30000"
"sounds" "1"
"skyname" "space"
"version" "thothiefix2c"
"changes" "re-re-added chest (bad pos), made webbreak manually breakable"
"changes2" "added trans warn to Calruin/Challs"
"JUL2007a" "dragon fly swarm"
"classname" "worldspawn"
"classname" "worldspawn"
}

There were some other un-annotated revisions. The most critical of which is the removal of in-brush transition spawns that could render a gauntlet map invalidated under the new system, should such a map go down to no edict errors or the like, so tis rather important if you are hosting a dedicated server.

thothie probably just didnt get to make the scripts for the chests.you can just ripent that in though. great job on the map, it's a nice change of pace for msc. the only part i didnt like is the fire djinn+2 greater undead fire giants. getting tossed constantly is annoying.
Eh... If he used the source I gave him, and those are indeed the right chests, there should be stuff in em. :|

Stocking those chests was the last thing I did before release. Tis better not be a case of the wrong sc.dll being out. ><

I have a feeling you just have a typo in there somewhere ;-)
