Er, 35% total stun redu-...

No, 25% damage reduction against undead and 10% stun resistance. You can't mix the two.

Am I the only person that thinks this helmet is an awesome low level idea? I mean seriously, does every new item have to be the newest, strongest, hardest to get weapon/armor?

It's good for low levels, yes.
And being found in Ara, people can hardly expect it to be an uber-powerful item.
Oh and I don't see a single person in here implying that it should be an uber-powerful item.

All I said was that because it's new, shouldn't be the next highest level item in the game. So... of couse people wouldn't expect it to be an uber-powerful item found in a low level map. It being a low level item, found in a low level area, it makes sense, right?

So what use is 25% damage resistance versus undead if you're stunned 60% (70%-10%=60%) more than you'd get stunned if you wore the stability helmet...?

It seems that you're disappointed because it's useless to you... Uhh? If you're not implying that you dislike this helmet (because it's useless to you) then why even make this comment?

Basically that's exactly what I said, so I'll just reply with:
Yeah.

I don't have this helmet, I'm not sure if I even want it, and I'm only making this comment to point out that 25% damage resistance versus undead is not very useful if you're stunned alot more than you'd be if you wore a stability helmet.

See, if you're stunned alot more, you can attack alot less, which causes the monster you're attacking to survive alot longer, and the longer the attacking monster survives, the more damage he can and will do to you, resulting in your health still declining pretty fast after all.

I'm not saying that the helmet is useless (but hey, whatever floats your boat). I'm just saying that it (probably) doesn't work as good as the stability helmet, versus undead monsters (that stun alot).

Think the only undead monsters with stun are: the better of the stone set (blademaster, mason, and g.mason), the greater ghoul, and much more rarely: Geric/Blacksmith, and Calrian/Soul Eaters (latter two tend to toss you a good distance in their stun attacks, which stun resist doesn't prevent). I know at level 29, with my Dark Helmet, I'd love to have one of these as well, and they're light enough that you can keep both on hand. Giving it uber-stun resistance to boot, would make it an uber item, so that's exactally what people are suggesting.

Why don't you make it goddamned heavy and make it 75% reduction against undead (Helmet of the Dead? 25%? You what?) and no stun resistance. Porblem sawlved.

Cuz 75% damage resist that stacks with all other resistances vs. undead in a game where 50% of the monsters are undead is INSANE.

If the undead hits u for 15dmg*

15dmg x 50% (ice shield) = 7,5dmg
7,5dmg x25% (potion) = 1,875dmg ~ 1,9dmg
1,9dmg x 25% (helmet) = 0,46875 ~ 0,5dmg

* remember about ur armor! For example Dark armor gives u next 50% ;]

This is madness..

Stability helmet = Great for high levels, easier for high levels to obtain. Harder for low levels to obtain?

Helmet of the dead = Great for low levels, decent difficulty for low levels to obtain. Easier for high levels to obtain?

That's all I'm saying, and it's extremely obvious to everyone that the Helmet of the Dead isn't as "good" as the Helmet of Stability, your (first) comment only says "This helmet sucks, it's not as good as Stability helmet, not worth it."

I think this helmet is a cool, neat low level item might get more people to explore and play.

Depends what you want: two small boosts or one big boost.
I personally like what the helmet does, and we should remember thet game will see many more helmets in the future, so theres no need to make this the ultimate helmet

I actually dont see this helmet worse than stability helmet.
Myself, I would love to wear phoenix armor+ice helmet combo

Ara isn't uber... unless you have a bunch of level 35-45s farming it. Then with level ramping it's annoying.
