OMGZ I OFFENDED THOTHIE, I SO SORRIEZ. I didn't even post about my avatar, until Barnum had, to let you know Thothie. If you're so engrossed in my temporary use of a multitude of avatars, perhaps we should simply chat on MSN? Get it out of your system. Also, Hypocrites. Nobody is attacking me over my temporary use of the Holy Cross, but they were more than willing to attack me over the temporary use of a Swastika?
Look at the ratios of world population throughout history, and massacres committed in the Church's name or by the Church's order. If the Holy Cross doesn't get you going, with its thousands of years of muddied use... then why does the Swastika, with its ten year period of muddied use, do so? Is the Church looked down upon for giving Nazis assistance during World War 2...? Nope. A greater evil assisted a lesser evil, and all everybody cares about is the lesser, it seems.

Seriously Asian people has bad luck to end up making a symbol that is the same as a swastika (probably it existed before the swastika).

Yeah... But I still have a feeling the folks who put those pokemon cards together knew better, as they've been known to spend a lot of money to strip the symbol from old buildings over there as well - so it's not as if it doesnt have the same connotation in Japan. I've seen some pretty funny pokes in anime in regards to WWII, some subtle, some not so subtle, often involving swastikas.

There is an old anime (and manga) called "Kinnikuman" that features a character name "brockenman", which is a Nazi with aspirations of world domination, however he dies getting ripped in half.

Still, his son takes his place (but hes not Nazi tough)

Anybody remembers the game M.U.S.C.L.E.? (NES game based on this anime)
The american version replaced BrockenJr. (present in the japanese version) with another character.

"Kinnikuman was banned in France because of Brocken Jr.'s presence, as he was supposed to be a "good Nazi", which is seen by many to be an oxymoron. Likely for similar reasons, when the M.U.S.C.L.E. toy line was brought to America, Brocken was absent from the selection of figures, and was eliminated from the tie-in NES game and replaced with Geronimo. Although strangely, a character who looks like Brocken can be seen in the last panel of the story comic that came with large figure packs.

As of Ultimate Muscle, the swastikas have been replaced with Death's Heads due to Japan's increasing cultural sensitivity.

Brocken Jr. also shares similarities with Brocken from World Heroes game series and M. Bison from Capcom's Street Fighter series."

Ergo, you choosing a swastika or a Christian cross means that you believe these icons to be the embodiment of you and/or your ideals. Ergo, people see your avatar, and think you're a Nazi, or a Christian. Ergo, you're really slandering yourself by choosing such images as a representation of yourself.
