Yea, I have seen lots of Orcs as as "human size" so to me it looks correct. Though it is your creation so I am happy with what you make.

what sort of hair should it have?
stick with the long hair in a braid?

If you are to make different kinds of orcs, young & weak orcs should have very short hair. Adult and slightly older should have medium length hair. Elders should have long gray/white hair.
