Yeah, basically, MSC: San Francisco.

It looks like old_helena is going to work out more or less as-is. Just a few bugs (one of the counters is wrong, and the wall near Authur doesn’t break real easy). It’s a hell of a hard map, but with 5 level 30’ish folks, we manage to more or less win it. My even make a nightmare version down the line.

Only major bug with Helena2 is the bandit raids aren’t going right, and Torwhodoc is not opening his time portal, but I already knew that.

In both cases I still need to re-work the shops to deal with things post-raid. Helena2 also needs its three treasure chests filled. Old_Helena’s needs to be restocked.

Every surviving NPC in old_helena will offer you a mighty item, should they survive the raid. Might keep track of which sells which, so you know who to concentrate on saving next run.

Dridje’s map works alright. Just need to work out a series of awards. The NPC is too talkative IMO, but Dridje likes em that way. ;) No major problems, save sticky teleporter hacks. It’d be nice to have info_teleport_destination be an area brush and spawn players within it, or allow multiple destinations and cycle between them… You MIGHT be able to achieve the latter with trigger_changetarget btw (trigger a change the teleport dest everytime the teleporter is used).

Lostcaverns (finally back on topic) seems to be working alright. Chests need to be stocked of course. I may need to beef up the zombie lord. It’s hard to tell, because the only time I really saw him in action, he got gang-banged by 8 level 30’s, and he’s really only designed to take on level 25’s. I’ll leave that up to Jon. His tractor beam also does not work well in multiplayer as it is dependant on the way he is facing.

Getting the maps fixed up proper by the 1st I might be able to do, but I also have a bunch of weapons and spells to introduce and test. I think the parry and title system will just have to wait for 2008.

Two people so far have told me to code less and map more, so I guess that's a good review. >_>

Now excuse me while I backup all my scripts onto another HDD - I dun trust this one anymore.

More like FIVE level 30s, or even less since you were healing ;-)

Oh, and I don't think a nightmare version of old_helena would work, since the nightmare "idea" was that this is what it would look like after Malgoridan/Undamael came back, and as we see, they didn't...yet... >_>

I have moved the teleporters a little bit and made more room for the spider cave teleport. Now there shouldn't be any problem. I am just working on the grave quest now. I'm thinking of maybe having the players kill a required number of spawned skeletons and place the statue down. I will have an update for you later Thoth.

Update: The grave quest now requires you to kill 15 skeletons before you can put the statue down. All I need it someone (or multiple people) to help me test the teleporters.

I vote some people go back and test with more appropriate characters before you start beefing. Keledros is easy to us, too, but for his level range he can be hard.

yarly, I agree with MIB.

If two people weren't humping the eyeballs with lightning rods, another two distracting the zombie-thing while the fifth heals the distracters, I think it would be a real challenging (and different) boss :D

Sabre's still got his server... He just needs to update his characters (seriously wtf, I got 28 swordsmanship power a month ago).

My betatesting takes a hell of a lot of time from development (took 4 hours yesterday - all the freetime I had). So I'm not planning to do anymore multiplayer tests myself. I got the info I needed, really.

Only info I'm still fuzzy on is Zygoli. If you guys wanna test that on your own servers, feel free to do so and report on how hard he is for ye. That package shouldnt work on FN though, so you'll have to setup server side chars, or whatnot.

The old_helena in that betatest package isn't finishable... But if you know the map developer commands, you can trigger "wagons" when wave4 jams up, and then you can finish the map.

Majors--

The hit boxes on them are really tiny... you have to walk inside them to hit them, but when you do they go invisible to the player inside it thus making it really hard to tell if your even inside or where the invisible center of the eye is.

The lostcaverns map that in the dec alpha was spawning the final chest before the boss died.

Minors--

Not all 6 skeletons in the first room spawn with 1 player. They still have the # of people req on them.

IceCavern path doesnt have the Render - Texture affect to make them clear.

I thought I fix 3/4 of those problems with the rmf I sent you but I guess not. :/

Yeah, the hitboxes on the eyes are funky, not much I can do about that from my end. Hint: Aim at the base of the eye.

Hrmm… That not good… It looks like the FN server is not uploading to the archive proper… Did Blasto move the archives or something? (I shall PM)

edit: Looking at it, I am *guessing* something changed on the firewall blocking FTP uploads around the 24 of October. I dun see where to configure the firewall on that desktop - and I can't tranfer files manually either... So... Yeah, yer going to have to live with Oct 24th the character archive until Fuzzy gets to that.

Archives are still on the hard drive, so there's no need to worry about getting character backups.
