Maybe a new type of undead monster like a zombie (not a skeleton, zombie, not fully broken down with flesh hanging out or guts or whatever have you.)

We could use some ghosts/wraiths. Vampires would work, too.

It started out as a big box, I used cut and vertex editing to get it looking like that, took a while too cause I made it hollow on the inside.

It's possible to make almost any shape in hammer, it just depends on how much stuff you're willing to cut down into triangles. Another thing is making sure you make an exact cut (snapped to grid).

I really should start working on this map again...

That would work well, there's a section of the map that features a fountain of blood right before entering the ancient mage library.

Concerning the skill level of this map:
The combat difficulty will most likely be mid-level while the map itself will contain a moderate amount of deception. What I mean by "deception" is that certain hallways will never end (the pacman effect), and one of the room may suddenly close on you and you'll be forced to battle while large and/or sharp metal objects are trying to collide into your face. There may also be trap doors causing you to fall to your death.

So basically movement will be a key factor in surviving this map, I'm trying to do something different. I'm not sure if there are any maps with damaging objects moving about you while in combat. I think it would be something new and fun.

One more thing, I may make it so you have to work as a team to complete the map (ie: one person has to grab a key, other person has to grab a chalice of some sort, blah blah blah... you get the idea)

Sounds awesome because it most likely won't be one big, ****ty grind against wave after wave of impossible monsters, seeing as how your intended difficulty is medium.

Keep it up :)

Obviously this place is going to have some flaming things, and some incredibly demonic things... how about!

A evil necro-wizard/techno-viking who transports you to the temple of edana, where the priests inside the temple all have misspelled names. When you step outside the giant rats, are super uber and have insane hp and damage, while retaining the same model. Then when you get to the town it is being invaded by masses of undead, but there is no way you can save the town... and the screen fades to black, displaying a message like: "you have failed to save your hometown of Edana..." Then there is a menacing laugh and you are back in the Fortress of Dead Gods, and have to fight techno-viking/necro-wizard.

sorry, first day back in school and i still have 2 hours till my next class.

hello there adventurers, I have recently decided to give up my map to the msc team if they want it. I have a bad habbit of not finishing things and it will be safe in the hands of the team, provided they can use it, I am also interested to see what can be made out of it. I believe I started out with a good design and flow, but I just don't have the time or energy to keep working on it. Nor does my computer have the processing power to compile test versions over and over. I will drop in to see how the community is doing, and maybe I can start another introductory level some other time, I hope you all are doing well. I do not mean to load my burdens on others but I think they can make something useful out of it, cheers.
