Yes, I know what the site is. I've been around quite a long time. Infact, Gur, we use to talk on Msn before you got banned on the old forums. I helped you test your maps. The valley one, as well as the megalevels one with all the new monsters Bob found.



Jm, If you don't mind, or Gur for that matter. Either of you hit me up on aim or Msn. Aim: Incivad, Msn:[email protected]. I'd like to discuss a few things. Jm, I'm sure you at least remember a Ran_g0d, or an Enigma Rain, who's aim was EnigmazRain. We've spoken before.

At this point, I think it's quite fine to be open about our cheating escapades in 1.3. There are very few people who play legitly(No cheat maps, no items from others, no hacks etc. etc.) and even fewer who care about the one's who do cheat.



They are only ruining thier own experience. To me, I feel a much higher sense of self accomplishment when I earn that new sword, or reach that new level without having cheated or typed "Changelevel Sell" into the console to go pick up that high end weapon. After you've accomplished everything in the game, by being the highest level and having the best items you can run through any portion of the game in seconds, therefore having nothing left to drive you to play it. With Ms:c, there should be plenty to keep me occupied, with the new weapons, maps, monsters, puzzles etc. to keep my interested in playing legitly.



The only reason I did such things as hacking my chracter and using cheat maps was for the mere reason I had already done everything anyway.

Hmm, I've never had much of a problem with Bob. Perfectly nice guy if you ask me. Maybe there's sort of an "honor among thiefs" type deal going on here. Anyway, were you the same Luke that kept kicking me because I was on a semi hacked character and tried to give you "duped" items? If so it seems we got off on the wrong foot. Try to be more understanding, those who have played this game for years don't get much fun out of the main campaign anymore. So we do tend to "stray from the light" and turn to the darkside of cheatmaps, hacks and other such nonsense that we shouldn't be using.



To be honest, I think the devs should let people submit maps, not to get them into the official new campaign, or as a resume to get onto the team, but just for permission to release unto the public. Could easily do that with a few requirements. Like



-No named encounters.

-No special or epic items (High end items, Fck, Gold/Dark armor etc.)

-No cheap way to kill monsters, like the Easylevels maps.

-Halfway decenty looking/designed.



With these anti-cheat map devices. I'd still really like more information on that, though I know I'm not gonna get it. I'm wondering if it's coded into the game's source or if it's entity based like some of the stuff Rickler has done to his Ts Roleplaying maps where they don't work if you don't have things set up and exact certain way, with the right plugins. You could easily have downloaded maps, maybe include the update for the controlling file in the zip with the map/released maps.



It's just too bad I don't know C++. I am however, not too bad at java. I must damn my school for picking java over C++ for the Ap computer science course. Though the languages are similar, I couldn't do much with c++ without learning at least the basics of the language first.



Just a few thoughts from me anyway, though I doubt they mean much.

Meh, yeah, I did, but then I offered to replace it and I did. Then you kicked me and everytime I came back you spouted off something about legit only and kicked me again. Then Bob stole all your stuff and threw it off the map. Then I offered to replace again and you told me you didn't want my "dupes". Then kicked me again, So I gave up.
