dark messiah:
+best first person melee combat system so far
+good athmosphere
+good KI
+good graphics
+many ways to interact with the envirement (wich mostly means to kill enemys with it:spikes, pits, fire, stuff falling on them)
-very Linear so not mich freedom
-almost no interaction with any other NPC means no shops, no smalltalk like in Oblivion
-there are some hidden path's and some hidden weapons (i found them ALL)
but not still not enought to say it's not damn linear.
-the multiplayer DOES suck, noch argueing about that not a matter of opinion it's a matter of fact.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
oblivion:
+HUGE world i mean seriously HUGE with hundreds of dungeons, fortresses, ruins, caves and other landmarks to explore.
+Living Envirement, Bears, Boars, deers, and NPC's walking, hunting, going to shrines etc. in all areas
+good athmosphere
+many weapons and armor, spells and other equipment
+you can interact with all NPC's, talk to them about rumors, small talk, argue, trade (yes you can learn to trade with ANY NPC)
+cast constant spells on your armor weapons and everything else to make them the way you want em.
+open ending means after beating it you can still do everything you want
+you can buy and furnish houses from a small wooden shack to a big manor and more
+++CUSTOMIZABILTY: you can change EVERYTHING! make the game even more beautiful, there are even performance enhancing plugins so you can play with a little bit of eyecandy even on 5500FX (but don't expect toooo much)
+many more stuff just too lazy by now...
-KI sometimes acts pretty dumb, but most of the times is alright it doesn't kill the athmosphere
-the story line isn't thaaat great, your doin more sidquests anyway
-some minor stuff i just can't remeber by now
IF you get oblivion be sure to gethe game of the year edition, already patched and with both addons. shouldn't cost too much.
