I can hard boil eggs in a microwave without them exploding.

I'm magical that way.

This is what you learn when the folks renovating your parking lot, break your gas line, and you have no stove for like two months. >_>

...and sadly, yes, I can cook too... I can poach eggs... Do soufflés... Make sushi... Don't even need a recipes... and unlike MiB, it's all because my mumsi *can't* cook, nor could half of my live-ins. ;) Although, thanks to my usual choice of live-ins, I know a bunch of Asian recipes by heart... Adobe chicken... Sukiyaki... And other stuff no self-respecting white guy should know about... Hell, I maybe the only white man with a rice cooker in his house, despite the fact that my overnight guests have been strictly kosher (genetically speaking) for almost three years now.

Anything is cookable as long as you put it in the microwave

My parents divorced and remarried. I have 2 biological parents and 2 step-parents. 4 parents. And they all can cook.

Actually living though, that is the tricky bit.

Gabe Newell cooks his babies in the microwave.

Liar. Gabe Newell doesn't cook babies. He eats them alive!

I can cook somewhat, though it's mostly baking, and it's mostly during this time of year.

I like cooking stews and pasta sauces. Easy as hell, if a bit tedious in cutting up veggies and meats. Toss in a pot for several hours, season to taste (I like adding a bit of red wine to red sauces, then sitting back with a glass of it while I wait) stir occasionally. My family likes it but I'm too lazy to cook for even myself most of the time

My ex taught me a lot of different things with cooking... Though I can make badass omelets, I still can't fry an egg to save my life
