In a thread i had read something about that the game wont start when you create a server. i have the same problem and someone has sad that you should upload the contend of log_cldll and log_msdll and here is it.

Try again, and this time check the console after the crash. If you crash to desktop I have no idea what's wrong.

i have checked the console and there stands nothing and i dont crash to desktop when its loading the loading screen disapears and im back in the menu :(

Thothie - at the top of the script you have "setvard ANIM_DEATH" with no paramater. That's where that error is coming from (Just need to delete it)

That always happened to me when I tried to get MSC working with an illegal copy of Half-Life.

The setvar error wouldn't stop the server from loading. Worst case scenerio it'd make the zombie death not play properly.

However, there are no zombies in Edana - are ye starting in Edana? (Looks like Edana Sewers to me)

Didn't have time to figure out the rest of the thread - just saw the setvar errors, looked it up, then went to work ;-)

Yes, it´s edanasewers.

But he was first on LostCaverns and then on ww2b.

Most of the servers out there are deidcated and [FN].

There are four that are open, two of which lag to hell(at least for me hurr in east coast of the US), one of which that sucks donkey balls, and one which, reportedly, has a broken [FN] connection (This is assuming you've not fixed your 400HP or less server).

There is another server that's constantly up, but that's also constantly locked. So that's why I'd rather encourage people to make their own servers, even if they have to go through a hellish process to get them to work (I know I did, though my listen sucks donkey balls as well).

DAMN YOU KAI! Blah, Blasto swapped the password for the server I was using after the Kai incident, and I failed to notice… Fixed.

I’ve been favoring the Newbie server over the standard server as of late, specifically because it seems there are so many servers (I see 8 [FN] servers now, not counting mine), and so many new players with no safe place to play (I guess that self-installer helped - although not as much as it did for WW back in the day).

As the sig suggests, I do recommend folks learn to setup servers, but I don’t encourage running of random listen servers, for the most part, ‘specially passworded ones. Do it right and save yerself a headache in the long term.

I'd like to make FN public again, but the Kai incident just makes it look not real promissing. Especially since what he did is supposed to be impossible. :(
