I've looked over the beggining agian, for the third time, because thats about all there is left to do, and I still can't find out why the hell my skeletons arnt sleeping. There's actually one skeleton that does sleep, and works correctly the way it used to, and I've spent a half hour trying to find some difference, but I can't. I've tried copying the one that works, but that doesn't help either.

I'm thinking of just doing it all over agian, which will take forever, but I don't see any other options.

Regular sleep works that way... Deep sleep causes them to stay still until you spawn another critter that wakes them up. You can only wake them all up like that once though.

I'm currently updating Ara and Chapel for final release, so I've not gotten the chance to see anything ye may have uploaded. I do have a new script for you, namely a sorc_intro that works, complete with voice overs. ;)

Also remember some skeletons (such as fire giants) are not affected.

In short:
monsters/skels_sleep - All skeletons spawned after this stay asleep until players come near
monsters/skels_deep_sleep - All skeletons stay asleep until...
monsters/skels_wakeup - ...is spawned
monsters/skels_normal - skeletons spawned after this will act normally

skels_wakeup and skels_normal can only be done once. Also skels_sleep and skels_deep_sleep cannot be combined.

Most skeletons just play dead while asleep (they are invulnerable and nameless). Stone skeletons act like statues, ala Blood Rose.

I am a level 36 fencer with 633hp, gold armor, urdualian shield and GIB (along with many other weapons, should that prove ineffective, including gold axe)

Sabre's server is really awesome, it can hold many people on the laggiest maps without a single lag.
I would like to beta test it too :) Stats in sig and I mainly use Darksword.

ATTENTION:

Very near completion, just a couple more fixes and run throughs and then a full compile.

This is hows its gonna go, when I'm ready for the test, im just gonna grab whoever I can find that is online in a server, give them the DL link, and have whoever can host the server host it with PW after everyone has the map downloaded.

So, if you want to be a part of this, be on. I'm too lazy to PM :D

You should give the rest of the testers a download link too, so they don't have to download it from sabre's server.

Beautiful map, lots of fun mazes and such that space out the hack and slash most gauntlet maps revolve around. Really fun :D.

Beta test done. Very successful, just a couple things need work. Thothie, the four wizards, they are insanely tough, way more than the actual boss. The constant stream of cold lazer thingys make it so you cant move at all. You need a potion of warmth everytime to even have a chance at moving. Only way we killed em, which took forever, was because they had so many targets there were a couple of us that could attack them if we where all in there. I'd suggest make them have less life, or reduce the rate of fire on that ice lazer dealy. Or something. Very entertaining tho =D

Also, Maldoras pet crashes about 20-30 seconds into the fight. We don't know why. Could be in the script or too many free edicts or w/e that error is.

Niether of the bosses drop anything, would you like me to just spawn a chest? I dunno how the new chests work.

The ice troll lobbers don't have a death animation, they just stand there when they die.

I'm sure im forgetting something...

In anycase, thanks a million for the scripts, the fights are awsome fun :D

Crashed like 5 times, mostly the uber reaver fight.

Well, that was the idea: that you’d have to overwhelm them with numbers. They have a fatal flaw, which I suppose I’ll spoiler here: Only one of them can use the freeze ray at any given time. If you get one player to take the freeze ray and live, the others aren’t anymore dangerous than ice elementals (less, as they have no freeze-solid ability). Also, given the way the uber-reaver functions, I was figuring there was no way to survive this map without some sort of anti-freeze protection. (Pensoil makes a good product, so I hear.)

Hmm… I’ll examine – he shouldn’t be much of an edict whore (not anymore than the Bear God of Frost, which uses all the same tricks, just not nearly so nastily). Did the lightning burst go off? Tis the only trick I think he has that is separate that maybe problematic. He was working fine a few months ago, but I may have messed with one of his spells that he shares with some other creature and thus broke him.

Other question: Are there breakables near him?

I’ve moved away from bosses dropping stuff so mappers can use bosses as they wish. There are four placeholder chests for your map I may have forgot to get the script names to you. From the map end, chests work same as ever, but boss chests should always spawn a second or two after their related bosses die.

The ice troll lobbers don't have a death animation, they just stand there when they die.
Will fix (hopefully not a model flaw – I remember the old troll had that model flaw, it maybe based on the older model, since Cerix made it a long time ago.)

If you have a map source I can make test-boss chambers with it'd help me find if there are any boss<->map conflicts (last source I got had no bosses placed, so I wasn't sure who was going where). I've found this method was indispensable when designing bosses for a few recent maps.
