Rest of that's easily fixed... Yet another example of why ye need MP tests though - never thought someone might go swimming before finishing off the elves upstairs.

Check yer msc/log_msdll.log next time Forsuth buggers out like that - see if there's any messages regarding a trigger or Forsuth (other than the "Line: 550 - { "{" following non conditional" error of which I r aware.)

Just assume any stack of bolts/arrows you pull has more than it says it does and will read correctly when next you reconnect, or if you fire enough of them off. Can't be fixed without a client patch.

I meant something slightly different.

Let's say you have 500 iron bolts in your quiver, which came from 100 stacks. You also have 25 blessed bolts in your quiver, but at the bottom.

If you attempt to put the iron bolts in your hands, you will take out 100 bolts, and have 400 invisible bolts in your quiver.

If you drop the 100 iron bolts, you will still have 400 invisible bolts in your quiver.

You can fire them, but you cannot drop them, or select them in your quiver.

Your quiver will show that you are firing blessed bolts when you are really firing iron bolts.

You have to reconnect/drop iron bolts multiple times to swap to the blessed bolts.

After patching to MAR2010a and then adding the MAR2010b .dll :

In this picture I'm not actually holding anything in my hands (or alteast the GUI is telling me this) nor do I even have a north maul, or what looks like a great axe; on any of my characters. Also looks to be a pheonix bow, frost bow and heavy crossbow; these however, are in my possession (pheonix on my back, frostbow and hxbow in my quiver).

I'm not sure if this bug/glitch is patch related or if it is my character being corrupted.


EDIT: Forgot to add - this is taken from freshly updating the patch, joining a server. I havent used any tickets or the storage chest.

EDIT2: Upon reconnecting to a different server the models seem to be gone but I am still puzzeled.

Is the damage on the new bows really suppose to be this crappy? I mean, its a lvl 30 bow that deals around 11 dmg max (does a few hits with 1 shot) at my lvl. What i mean is, frostbow/phoenixbow/orionbow are way better than these bows that just got added, they are simply junk with the current dmg they deal and a reward from the hardest map ever. I'm dissapointed. :|

The_wall map final rewards sucks in 1 aspect. It only goes to the player on top of dmg points, the rest of the players who help beat the map get screwed over by wasting around 2 hours of their lives to beat something with no chance of a new reward in the end, i think the final reward should be delivered to more than 1 player, something of the kind: " 3 players up to 5 players in server, there's 2 item drops per run; more than 6 players the item drops would be raised to 3, this all related to dmg points of course and also a random offer from forsuth". I think that would be wise, if the map contains all the new items and only 1 player can get an item per run, thats crap in my opinion.

After using a Ushield, I often get stuck in slow-walk mode after i holster it. Fixed by reconnecting, but that's oh so risky.

Iirc, that happens whenever you put your ushield in a bag instead of on your back.

Alright, according to what J-m said (and quickly turning in 3rd person) my male character had the female character 's breasts going through my armor. My head was also missing. >.>

You can no longer purchase a small sack from any shop, I checked all the town throughly, especially gatecity after reading the patch notes. Technically not a bug, but a major inconvenience when your seeking one.

I just finished another the_wall run, (and raaaaaaaaaaged because) Forsuth got stuck in the elevator again.

Plus he did this.

Iron Guardian still does not attack on palace secret, ran it twice he will sometimes run away instead of just staring at you stupidly but still does not attack.

Poison cloud no longer passes exp at all, except for the initial hit DOTs. Don't know about blizzard and Lightning storm though.

Ethereal dagger's first charge does not ignore armor, causing it to do the same, or less damage to armored targets when compared to a normal attack.

Tried deleting my the_wall.bsp and downloading from RB's server(it works there), Forsuth still got stuck on the elevator.

Tried finishing without Forsuth alive, I got stuck on the elevator at the top.

(This was all done on nonfn, as I didn't want to do it on FN only to have it bug at the end)

Great, elevators are just plain broken in multi-player in addition to the multi_manager/breakable... I suspect this maybe beyond my ability to fix. Dunno... Could convert the thing to a door and see if it behaves any better, but I doubt it.

Just for the record, in my efforts to test that, I spawned 16 undead guardians (via cheats), and about a dozen fangteeh in the elevator with us - crouched on Forsuth's hat to fit in there with all of them, and we still made it to the top. ><

Probably going to work out some sort of "stuck" menu option for Forsuth...

Tend to aim low these days so I dun have to nerf later, but on the other hand, it is the same damage as the Phoenix bow at mid-range with various elements per 1/10th second of exposure, over the same radius, except in a traveling cone. They should, at least, be invaluable for dealing with high end archers. (But not elite Torkies, for elite Torkies wear those element resistant bikini's.)

The exception to that would be the head of Ihotor, but I suspect it maybe easier to just scatter some random treasure chests throughout to help compensate the escorts.

Some people have the stuck problem with my door elevator that takes you to the boss room. Usually their only solution is to get killed by the boss or wildy jump up and down, hoping they'll magically get unstuck. It's an uncommon problem but it still occurs.
This message is for every lazy bugger who doesn't take the stairs: Jump RIGHT before the elevator stops at the top. That should stop you from getting stuck in it.

I was able to get the elevator to work with Forsuth in it on a listenserver.

Like I said, never had it fail SP... Did it at least 30 times, often with aforementioned insane efforts to fux it up. Similar to how that breakable never fails in SP.

What I originally had in mind was another spiral, but I just plain ran out of brushes. Just can't add anymore to that monstrosity. Hence, elevator - which, sadly, didn't even leave me enough brushes to make a mountain view as you were going up.

Again, thinking some sort of stuck function... Teleport him to the top... Not much I can do about players getting stuck though. :/

The newer bows aren't very useful for taking out high-end archers either, as it is difficult to get more than two or three hits per shot at a long range, especially when you aren't on the same elevation(Might be because you can't see the sprite for the shots at all in multiplayer though), and because hxbow/neckhunter/phoenix bow/orion bow/blizzard/volcano/lightning storm are all just so much better at it.

They aren't unusable, and both the concept and the model of the bows are pretty cool, but the options above are just plain better in just about every situation I've seen ingame.

I had this stuck-in-an-elevator-once-you-reach-the-top-bug in unmodified Half-Life singleplayer (!!!) a few times. Also in HLDM. Just start crossfire and go up and down on an elevator a bunch of times. Never happens when you're going down, only when you're going up.

tl;dr: elevators that go up are not to be trusted, and really should not ever be put into maps.

Also, everytime someone joins my server on calruin2, the server crashes and I get this message:

The map can load, but noone can join without crashing the server.

Edit: And - unrelated - I just figured out the best part of the patch! Basically, the_wall is so incredibly hard, that Zun, the stupid big-mouth-ninja-noob-abuser-wannabe-archer kiddie, will never get the new bows :idea:

I'm sure Joe! will give him one out of the kindness of his heart. ;)

I've had a thought, and effort to fix, the elevators... I've only applied it to func_platform so far, but I've added a spawn flag you can check to have it adjust 16 units down after it reaches the top. Not sure how it'll work in multi player though. Does have the side effect that when the elevator goes back down, it goes 16 units too far, but it still functions that way, and doesn't seem to fubar it when it goes up again - we'll have to play with it and see.
