I smell dead or underpowered card.

If ye have another drive or partition, and some clue as to what ye are doing, ye may try installing windows on it and seeing if you can get your gfx back - but your drivers are either thoroughly corrupted (in which case I recommend runnin Driver Cleaner in safe mode, followed by yet another DX9 install, driver reinstall and a lot of praying) - or it be time to get a new gfx card.

i think my gfx card shit out :( cause the problem just got worse... instead of 2 bars its my entire screen its almost too much to see thru....

u think if i call ati and explain to them that it died and that the computer was a gift so i dont have the receipt that they would send me a new one?

I wouldn't think so... But just track down person who purchased the computer, tell them to contact the store they got it from and request a receipt. If it's under a year old it maybe under warranty.

If that fails, well, the good news is that good nVidia cards can be had on the cheap right now. ;)

You can uninstall the drivers and rely on the default VGA drivers, but if your gfx card is fried, you shouldn't be using the system, as you are risking damage to other components as incorrect voltage levels pass through the card.

Go out, spend $150 on a new gfx card. Should do the job without putting much of a dent in rent/car quest, and is much cheaper than buying a new computer, which is where yer headed if you keep using that card.
