It looks very nice. I especially like the imperfections on the hammer, makes it seem more realistic. Are you doing this with concept art or completely from your imagination?

I'm actually using real photos that I googled for reference. Here's one of the hammer:


For the dagger I used a bit of blade from the photo in the texture, but had to edited it quite a bit. The rest of the texture was hand made.


I think I will be doing a spear after the hammer.

So here's the finished model with diffuse and normal map. The normal maps really do add a lot. Thanks for the push to get me to actually do them As always any critisims are welcomed, and appreciated.

Thanks very much! I haven't had the chance to do a lot of modeling lately so this has been a great way for me to get moving again. I'm really loving the texturing process too. It's been said, but the devil really is in the details.

So I'm onto a war hammer. This one is my own design, no real world reference. A little more fantasy than the last few models perhaps.
