Thanks for the tip; this might help Dogg narrow down where that problem occurs.
Crow said:Though the "quit and reconnect" works in most instances for lan, i've found that sometimes the character is peramnently deleted, no matter what i do.
I've noted that the file is not deleted when i go into the SAVE folder...
So, I've come up with what i believe is something that doesnt fail.
Since the deletion happens during map change, if you are going to change maps, first exit out, copy all files in the SAVE folder to a back up file. Then you can load back up and try to change maps. If your character is deleted permanatly, copy all folder from your back up file to the SAVE and your character should be back.
This method works for me, so hopefully it works for you. It may be tedious, but losing hours of work on your character is much worse.
hope this helps
Nighttime being dark isn't really too much of an issue with me, excepting of course the recent problem with torch dimming. Other than that, nighttime ought to be dark.
I get the same arrow prob.Crow said:Lol.
Here is an extremely small problem.
arrows didnt stick in. it worked later when i remade, so no biggy
also, when your in crouch and try and type, your letters turn into squares

This (gigantic) memory leak never happened to me when I hosted my MS v1.35 server. So could it be that MS: C v1.00 is at fault here, and not hlds.exe?dRkILL said:BUG: Hosting a listen server causes the game to slow down and sometimes freeze. Also happens when hosting a dedicated server.
NOTES: Appears to be a memory leak in the HLDS program.
In the pickup menu gold dosnt seem to to show up properly.

SOLUTION: Manually change the folder to SAVE.
