Essentially the developers blamed J-M for their shortcomings. Because somebody they've never met posting silent walls of text, telling people not to exploit or cheat, assisting new players and keeping them interested in the game, thus further building the community base, is obviously at fault for everything that's gone wrong or couldn't be done in two weeks time.

The accusations of his cheating/exploiting are nothing more than the cherries on top, to "help justify" removing him without throwing the community into complete pandemonium.

I'll likely be called a troll, as that is the best Team DonkeyBallZ can come up with, even though they make a regular game of insulting others in place of having a reasonable discussion.

I digress - the shortcomings of half-assed video game developers shouldn't be blamed on whoever they happen to be e-Raging at.

I guess I'll throw out my 2 cents on the subject. I treat this the same as the Shuri incident, if the evidence is there then tough sh!t I guess. I really doubt the dev's would make some BS excuse to ban him this late in the game when MiB already stated he would have done it in an instant if he wanted to ages ago. And this is not to knock JM as a person, I actually really like him outside the game setting (he has legit music taste) but hey, I've seen good people do bad things and bad people do good things (I think that's a song too), so I wouldn't put any type of action past anybody. We are all humans, we all miss the mark from time to time.

If the dev's believe this is the right choice for the game's sake, then heck, they've been doing a pretty good job at building it up to this point, I have no reason to really doubt their decision making abilities. I really don't see why there is a huge outrage on this, if JM really wanted to start playing again, couldn't he just cough up the $10 it cost to buy HL and start playing again? I don't know, I really think things are getting blown out of proportion just like Shuri incident.

All in all, does it suck? Sure. Will life go on? Yes.

Perhaps he noticed it wasn't worth it anymore? Or perhaps he only cared to play with people he trusted in, which in return made him do things that the devs didn't like? If i was in his position right now and get banned, i would likely leave and never come back aswell. Pretty pointless if you return after a ban of this kind.

You're free to b*tch about this, but keep it to THIS thread - I don't even want to see a hint of this drama cluttering up the other threads, save maybe BOU's, and even there, only insomuch as required to settle the leadership issues.

Picture what happened when a certain thread about a certain person getting banned, that thread got locked and dropped, this one diserves the same fate. It's basically the same deal here, if you keep this thread on going, it's insulting people rather than make them loose their frustration, like, building more frustration than they already have... get it? I don't see what's the problem with locking this thread and sent it NML already, other than annoy the sh!t out of people with the same subject over and over.

My entire point with all of this sh!t is that, you should lock this thread and drop the subject already, because it's part of someone who got banned and he diserves to be no different from shuriken, who got his thread locked and NML'd. There is no point having this thread open for necroing by whoever decides to dig these forums.
Also, i pointed that other thread because it doesn't break any rules that Redcell/Thothie is concerned about. So why not just lock this and bump that vent thread for all your "frustration needs"?

The two events are entirely different, the only similarity being somebody was banned. This thread was started by the mod leader, not a guy posting 'evidence' in a ridiculously dramatic manner after he was told admins were handling it. And J-M's banning does relate to 'general discussion' because he had a profound effect on the game; and seeing as he was the leader of the most popular MS:C guild, that even further reinforces the point that this belongs in general discussion of the mod.

I really don't know why this is bothering you so much zeus, along with a bunch of other small crap lately. :|
