dont think it should replace the old shield, but rather be a new shield. besides I think this models has a bigger size than the runeshield model, so P_weapons2.mdl might not compile

I think it looks like a fine shield. You should make it into an entirely different shield (if the model limit permits) instead of replacing the rune shield. It may require some creative thinking as to the abilities of the shield if you want to make it "special" but it's worth it.

Heh, I just do it for the hell of it, and if people like it, I'll throw it your way. Seems like people would like it as a new shield altogether, so I'll throw what I've done your away, pending getting all my shit off the external.
