I have done complete re-installs of everything HL1 related.

Was not possible to locate point of entry of the procedure _RIB_Alloc_provider_handle@4 on the DLL (dynamic-link library) mss32.dll.

You get it when you start the game and when you join a server.
But anyways if you just press ok to get past the errors it works fine, here's the link:

This reverted me back to how everything was running before. The file isn't malicious. I would recommend backing up your folders, though. Works great, just gotta ignore the first two errors on launch/connect. This version doesn't use any of the new beta cvars. (Obviously)franky200 said:http://filesmelt.com/dl/HLold3.zip

We may has to do this - although I think the best I can do is maybe rig it to centerview after closing an inventory panel.HLCoders said:If you're getting the VGUI camera lock after exiting a fullscreen VGUI panel, you can do various things such as type "centerview" in the console. I guess if your mod is VGUI heavy you'll have to record the user's view angles on the client and set them back after closing the VGUI as a hacky workaround.
Dunno if it'll help texture bleeds, but if it does, I think we might be able to add it to the listlib.gam file as a default param.HLCoders said:-nofbo as a launch option will fix a lot of the graphical errors that pop up, and gl_vsync 0 may fix performance issues.
Not tried playing with this together with the current Half-Life, but may get you half way to normal.Freddy1992 said:m_rawinput 1 makes the computer use high quality, low latency input. m_rawinput 0 makes cs mouse movement the way it was before the beta.
Ya know, if you've managed to rig up a combination that both fixes the mouse and fps issues, and doesn't bring up the mss32.dll error, zip that puppy up and upload it somewhere (the half-life root files, and the valve and platform folders should be enough). If I get the same results on both MSC systems here, I'm real tempted to say "fuck it", and integrate that build into a patch, as I can't trace the fubar DLL for the life of me, and I don't see Valve fixing this anytime soon. The legacy Half-Life department likely risks their jobs if they admit they've done anything wrong.franky200 said:It seems that deleting everything in your half-life folder (except for mods or important dll files that some mods need) and replacing it with my patch fixes the annoying mss32.dll problem.
